Dr. Taylor graduated from Fresno State University with a bachelor of science degree in zoology in 1967. He then attended the University of California, Irvine College of Medicine from 1967 to 1971.
Dr. Taylor then completed a straight surgical internship at the University of California, Los Angeles, Harbor General Hospital, from 1971 to 1973. He completed a first-year general surgical residency at the University of California, Irvine, from 1972 to 1973. He then completed his orthopedic surgical residency at University of California, Irvine, from 1973 to 1977.
Dr. Taylor moved to Fresno, California, in July 1977 and has been in private practice for orthopedic surgery in Fresno, California since that time. He was awarded the status of Diplomate by the National Board of Medical Examiners in July 1972. He was elected a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons in March 1981.
Dr. Taylor specializes in arthroscopic surgery chiefly of the shoulder and knee. He specializes in total joint replacement chiefly of the hip, shoulder, and knee. He maintains an active practice in general including trauma. He has an active practice in medical-legal orthopedic evaluations and workers' compensation treatment and evaluation.
Beyond his interests in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Taylor's interests are golf and gardening along with his principal interest, his wife, three children, and two grandchildren.
Dr. Taylor accepts new patients upon referral from physicians, former patients, attorneys, and workers’ compensation insurance representatives.
