Hank Read, F.N.P.
Hank brings over 30 years of nursing and orthopedic experience to the Sierra Pacific Orthopaedic & Spine Center staff.
Hank began his journey as a biology student at the University of California Riverside followed by an associate nursing degree from Fresno City College. He later completed the Family Nurse Practitioner and Physicians Assistant Program at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine.
Upon completing his certification in 1993, Hank was one of the first nurse practitioners in the Fresno area. He currently assists Dr. Paramjeet S. Gill and Dr. Timothy C. Watson. Expanding his experiences beyond a clinical setting, Hank has served on the Valley Medical Center Ethics Committee and is a fellow of the American Academy of Physicians Assistants. He has also served as a clinical skills instructor at Fresno City College and occasionally lectures at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine.
Hank especially enjoys helping elderly patients regain their active lifestyle. Himself an amputee, he appreciates connecting with other amputees and takes pride in the meticulous care his patients receive from the center.
