Tammy was raised in Southern California and attended the University of California, Los Angeles where she received a bachelor of science degree in physiological sciences with a minor in philosophy in 2002. She worked as an EMT and a physical therapy aide for several years then moved up to Northern California to attain her master’s degree as a physician assistant at Samuel Merritt College in Oakland.
Tammy started out working with several internal medicine physicians in Oakland before discovering the family practice/sports medicine specialty. She moved to Fresno with
her husband who is a resident physician specializing in Emergency Medicine in 2010. Tammy is currently working with Dr. John C. Monteleone where she has a passion for working with patients with chronic medical conditions and acute sports injuries.
Tammy is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs Physician Assistant Committee. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and California Academy of Physician Assistants.
Tammy resides in Fresno with her husband and two cats. She spends her free time skiing, rock climbing, mountaineering, and gardening.
