Dr. Thomas practices general orthopaedic surgery. He has extensive experience and expertise in joint replacement, sports medicine, and surgery of the hand. Dr. Thomas is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Thomas is proud to be a member of the Sierra Pacific Orthopaedic & Spine Center, which he joined in March of 2001. Prior to that he was with Kaiser Permanente for eight years where he was a staff orthopaedic surgeon and chief of the orthopaedic surgery department. Dr. Thomas is a consulting orthopaedic surgeon for several university, college, and high school athletic teams. Before coming to Fresno, he was in private practice in Washington State.
Dr. Thomas graduated from medical school at The University of Utah in 1986. He did training in general surgery at the University of California, San Diego and then completed residency training at the San Francisco Orthopaedic Residency Training Program in 1991.
Dr. Thomas is originally from Ogden, Utah. He married Ellen Mathias of Porterville. They have six wonderful children. Dr. Thomas' interests are: family, church, outdoor activities, and sports of all kinds.
