“"I had a bunionectomy in October of 2007 done by a podiatrist. Unfortunately, it was not a good experience. First of all, I felt part of the surgery. When I relayed this to the podiatrist, he told me that was not possible. When he tried to make another cut and I reacted, he believed me. Secondly, I developed an infection immediately following the surgery. He was on vacation for a week immediately following my surgery, so I had to see anther podiatrist for treatment. The results from the surgery were not satisfactory so I decided to seek additional medical advice after allowing 18 months for healing. At that point, I contacted Dr. Glaser as to what to do. In September of 2009, I decided to have surgery to repair the damage. Two screws were placed in my foot to correct the problem created by the first surgery. Fortunately, I had an uneventful recovery period - everything went, as it should. I am so thankful to Dr. Glaser, and his staff for their skill and knowledge of the foot. I have told all my friends and all who ask, if you have foot problems, do not seek assistance from anyone other that a true specialist, Dr. Glaser. One does not realize how important feet are until a problem arises. Thank you, Dr. Glaser!" -- Sharon M.”

“"Having recently retired from 35 years in education, I finally decided to check out an annoying problem with my right knee. As a former runner, and now 60, my knee ached with pain from simple walking and bending motions. After having my personal physician look at my knee, we agreed that a referral to Dr. Hanson was in order. Dr. Hanson quickly diagnosed that the cartilage in my right knee was beginning to wear thin and eventually I would need a knee replacement. In order to delay surgery, Dr. Hanson suggested OrthoVisc injections to help with the joint movement and pain. I have been receiving the injections (every three to six months) for a year and a half. It has dramatically improved my activity level and pain comfort. As an avid golfer, before the injections I would play once a week and take another week for the pain to subside. I can now play back-to-back days without taking timeout for recovery. I recently played five days straight, with the assistance of a brace made by an associate of Dr. Hanson's. All in all, the experience with Dr. Hanson and his office staff has been terrific." -- Andrew V.”

“"Dr. Hanson did my left knee replacement four years ago. I had walked around in pain from bone on bone contact prior to the surgery. Once the knee was replaced, there was no more pain. I did the therapy as prescribed and had a wonderful outcome. The right knee was bad also but not giving me any pain. Four years later my knee started giving me pain. I promised myself after the first one that I would never put it off again. I went back to Dr. Hanson and had the right knee done. I am now in physical therapy and doing well. I am looking forward to a good recovery." -- John K.”

“"I had a wonderful experience during a difficult time regarding my right shoulder. Dr. Eric Hanson and his team are extraordinary. I first encountered his physician's assistant Greg Mellor a couple months ago. Mr. Mellor was extremely kind, understanding, and knowledgeable. He described to me in full detail of the many possibilities of my injury. I felt comfortable in his presence and he made me feel as though time was not an issue. This was the third surgery that I had in the last two years. Needless to say I have a lot of experience with many different surgeons, hospitals, medical staff, and all those that make having a surgery possible. The day of my surgery I met Dr. Hanson and he was extremely kind and thorough. He answered all of my and my husband's questions regarding the procedure that he was about to perform. His anesthesiologists was also a very pleasant, easy-going, and approachable. The anesthesiologists name didn't expect the complexity of my injury. However, the entire team does an amazing job and explained to my husband the nature of my injury in full. I felt very comfortable, safe, and blessed to be in such wonderful hands. I would highly recommend Sierra Pacific Orthopedics to anyone who has any type of orthopedic need. Thank you so much for all that you have done." -- Patricia S.”

“"I was so pleased with the results of my left knee replacement in June 2011 that I had my right one replaced in February 2012. I can now function without the fear of pain in either knee due to arthritis. I highly recommend Dr. Hanson to anyone with knee troubles not just for replacement, but therapy before replacement is needed." -- Steve D.”

“"Recently I had a work related on the job injury to my back. I was so pleased I was able to see my primary physician, Dr. Rod Kraft. Dr. Kraft goes way beyond the usual office visit to make sure every detail of your condition is taken care of and explained to me in common lay terms what my problem is and that it was going to take time to heal. I didn't want to take time off from work, but he insisted it would be impossible for me to continue and more damage would be done. Of course he was right. From scheduling for an MRI (thanks Angela) to setting up appointments for other doctors has been so smooth. His entire staff has been so helpful and professional. Just being at Sierra Pacific Orthopedics gives you a secure feeling with so many professionals and also the facilities from the X-Ray department to Summit Surgery Center. It's peace of mind that you are being well taken care of." -- Darwin B.”

“"I visited with Dr. Kraft's assistant regarding a swelling in my right knee. I injured it by training for races in the Pro race series. The doctor explained that it was probably due to a strain. The doctor recommended I stay off the running for a week. I did not immediately follow this advice. However, after a week of running in pain, I stayed off for ten days. I felt the knee recover after that. I am back to running. I appreciated the quick and accurate diagnosis, since I previously had surgery on the same knee." -- Paul G.”

“"I developed carpal tunnel syndrome two years ago. After physical therapy treatment things improved but still problems. After visiting Dr. Majors, my carpal tunnel continues to improve; yet there is just enough discomfort that I haven't stopped my treatment program. I have been approved for surgery, yet it looks as though I may be able to avoid surgery, after consultations and treatments at Sierra Pacific Orthopedics." -- Jack B.”

“"For the past four years of my life, my desire to be as physically active as possible has been hampered by two nagging hip injuries. The first was before my senior year in high school and I couldn't lift weights or play football because of the pain. Dr. Thaxter went ahead and fixed me up and I was back to normal again. About a year later though, my other hip started bothering me so with no hesitation I went back to Sierra Pacific Orthopedics and Dr. Thaxter was able to do the same procedure. Two months later and I'm still pain free! I also couldn't have made the recovery without the trainers who pushed me through physical therapy." -- Keenan S.”

“"In an effort to avoid a joint replacement surgery I have been receiving injections in my left thumb joint. With the use of the X-ray equipment, the injections are spot on and extremely effective. With the use of a hand brace between injections, the pain of arthritis is controlled for about three months before another injection is needed. I understand I will be able to manage the pain for an extended period of time using the injections, which is a great alternative to surgery." --  Carol L.”
