Chris Ellis, P.A.-C.

Chris Ellis, P.A.-C., has worked and provided medical care in a wide variety of roles. He started off in Navy Medicine as a paramedic, providing primary and emergency medical care to small special operation teams, where hospital care may be delayed for a few days. Additionally, he provided medical care in nontraditional environments to include cold weather, wilderness, altitude, field environments, Search and Rescue, Parachute Operations, and SCUBA and water injuries. Traditional environments as a physician assistant have included family practice, emergency room, general surgery clinic and surgery assist, and orthopedic clinic and surgery assist. He has also assisted in surgery for OB/GYN, ENT, and podiatry cases. He has provided primary care for multiple underserved rural health clinics in the Central Valley area for many years.

Prior to joining Sierra Pacific Orthopedics, Chris worked in general orthopedics for six years. Chris completed his physician assistant studies at the University of California, Davis. He has also received training as a paramedic, in surgical technology, cold weather medicine and survival, wilderness medicine and survival, field medic training, skydiving, SCUBA, Basic and Advanced Trauma Life Support, Prehospital Trauma Life Support, ACLS, PALS, and NRC. Additionally, Chris is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

In his free time, Chris enjoys activities such as mountain biking, skiing/snowboarding, kayaking, traveling, reading fictional spy novels, hiking, and camping. Out of all the areas he’s worked, his main passion is orthopedics, which stems from his time in the U.S. Navy and his very active lifestyle.
