The following are reviews from patients of Dr. Gill.
  • “When I contacted Dr. Gill, my right leg looked like the letter Z, the knee pointed left, the lower leg to the ankle pointed right, and the foot was sideways with the toe pointing left. I was a mess.  After surgery, the right leg is straight, and doing well.  After 7 1/2 years in a walker, I am trying to learn to walk unassisted.  Thank you, Dr. Gill, for enabling me to stand and balance on my own. Having hands free for even a short period of time is so liberating!”

  • “I've had both knees replaced by Dr. Gill, one last summer and one this summer.  I can't say enough about how pleased I was with the entire experience.  Both surgeries went well and my recovery time was much less than I expected and much less painful than I ever could have hoped for. Even physical therapy went well and I had the therapist really push me. The second surgery went especially well.  I could move my entire leg without any help from the time I woke up in the recovery room.  My wife never had to help me once with getting out of bed or a chair or the car.  I quit using the walker within three days and was off the medication within a week.  I was back to full extension and flexion numbers from pre-surgery measurements within three and a half weeks. I am back to work, going up and down two flights of stairs with no problems and I'm doing all my farm chores at the alpaca ranch with no problems at all.   I know what family members have gone through with the old type of surgery and I would recommend this new minimum invasive procedure to anyone.  Thank you Dr. Gill and your entire staff who always treated me well.”

  • “Hello, I am a 49-year-old female.  I was born with congenital hip dysplasia and have had problems and pain with my left hip my entire life.  For many years I had been trying to find a doctor who would give me a hip replacement but they all turned me down because of my age.  Finally I was referred by a good friend to Dr. Gill and he agreed to do my total hip replacement.  At the time of my first meeting with him he was friendly and quite knowledgeable and I felt very comfortable with him and his entire staff.  My issues went a little deeper because 14 years prior to my replacement, I was diagnosed with Liposarcoma cancer of the left posterior thigh and had to have my entire hamstring muscle compartment removed so I had a double whammy of pain issues with the left hip and leg.  At the time of my replacement, I was unable to do most of anything and it was affecting my life in so many ways.  I was unable to put my own socks and shoes on, get dressed, walk without assistance of the cane, etc.  My life seemed to be that of a 90-year-old woman instead of a 49 year old.  I had my replacement on June 12th, 2013 at St. Agnes Hospital.  Due to having two stents put into my heart just six months prior, my cardiologist agreed that I could have the hip replacement surgery but only if it was in a hospital setting in case of emergency.  I am six weeks post op today and feeling great.  I am getting around fine and doing physical therapy two times a week.  The pain that I used to feel in that hip is completely gone.  Yes, I am still very sore from the surgery itself but at least I know that eventually that will heal so there is light at the end of the tunnel finally.  I want to say "THANK YOU" to Dr. Gill for giving me my quality of life back!  It truly means the world to me.  So, I am getting better day by day and will continue to look forward to a brighter future with much less pain.  Dr Gill did mention that I will eventually need another hip replacement on my right hip at some point but I will cross that bridge when the pain is too much to handle.  Thanks again Dr. Gill for putting some "life" back into my life!”

  • “I had knee replacement surgery this past summer. The left knee in June and the right knee in July. Due to the arthritis in both knees over the years, I became less active.  I no longer went for walks, rode my bicycle, or any other activities where I had to walk or stand for any length of time. In short, my life had become going to work, coming home, and putting my feet up to stay off my legs. Though I have just recently had surgery, there is a vast improvement in my quality of life. I am going on short walks in the mornings and riding my stationary bike everyday. I also am looking forward to start horseback riding, which I had to give up. I feel like I have my life back and I feel great. Thank you so very much. Without the surgery, I would still be in horrible pain with my feet up everyday after work. A side effect of my knee surgery is a weight loss of fifteen pounds! Dr. Gill, you and your staff were and are great. There are really no words to adequately express my thankfulness.”

  • “On Nov. 6, 2013, Dr. Gill performed total hip replacement surgery using the minimally invasive approach. I must tell you that I had high anxiety about this surgery, as this was my first surgery ever in my 58 years. I have osteoarthritis and will have to have the other hip replaced as well. I will definitely have Dr. Gill perform my second surgery without question. Thank you Dr. Gill and staff.”

  • “I have had two successful hip replacement surgeries over an 11-year span, the last one done by Dr. Gill in November 2012.  I was able to walk unaided down the hall after 2 weeks, and go back to doing my yoga class after 2 months! I also got married a month after the surgery, and was able to walk down the aisle unaided! Because of my scoliosis, which must have contributed to the hip replacements, I have had low back pain upon getting up in the mornings, due also likely to progressive osteoarthritis.  I am participating presently at the physical therapy gym at Sierra Pacific Orthopedics, prescribed by Dr. Kasturi, and this has helped considerably to strengthen my core muscles, which support the back.”

  • “I had hip surgery scheduled for the spring of 2013. However, it was determined that I needed another urology surgery before. I cancelled my hip surgery and had the other surgery. After a four month period, I began having more hip pain, couldn't sleep, and it caused me anxiety, etc. I called Dr. Gills office and told them how I was feeling and they made extra effort to get me scheduled as quickly as possible for the hip replacement. The surgery went very smoothly. I have been happy with the outcome and everything Dr. Gill and his staff said would happen, did happen. The entire staff has been very professional, wonderful to deal with, and I would recommend them 100%. Thanks to Dr. Gill and his team.”

  • “I was very reluctant to undergo surgery and put it off for a very long time.  My knee was really terrible and Dr. Gill has given me the perfect knee. I can twist, turn, and move easily. I have not walked without an aid of some sort in eight years and now I can walk around my home hands free. Although I still go to physical therapy to continue to improve, I can see the progress weekly.  Little did we know that soon after surgery, my beloved husband would suddenly pass away.  If I had not had the success of this surgery, I would not have been able to live on my own. Bless you, Dr. Gill, for your skill. I can function independently, caring for my needs, maintaining a home, and do necessary chores with just a little assistance.”

  • “I went through a process to determine if my back was the problem or my hip. I recently had a hip replacement performed by Dr Gill. So far, everything is progressing very well. I went home on the second day after the surgery, although I probably should have stayed another day or two. When I got home, I was running a fever of 101.5 and it was difficult to impossible for me to move around on the bed. All three doctors I saw were very knowledgeable and treated me very well. The staff that I came into contact was very professional and took very good care of me. Thank you to all that worked with me!”

  • “This is my second hip replacement with Dr. Gill with the latest being a repair of an older replacement surgery. I find that the repair seems to be a slower recovery. It has been 5 weeks and I still have more pain than I can remember having with my first replacements. The surgery and the post surgery experiences have been very good. Dr. Gill used the Surgery Center for this procedure and I would highly recommend this facility for further procedures.”

  • “Both hips replaced in 2014. Prior to surgery, I could not walk without a walker. It is a miracle to walk without pain. I can now keep up my home and work in my yard without any aid or devices. Words cannot express my profound thanks to Dr. Gill and his team. ”

  • “Dr. Gill is a wonderful doctor, surgeon and person with an excellent bedside manner. This gentleman and his staff are the greatest. They took 15 years off my age and gave me back my life after my hip replacement 5 months ago. My wife and I just returned from 3 days at the coast and I averaged 3 to 5 miles walking each day pain-free. God bless you all.”
