Dupuytrens Contracture Removal
Double Dupuytrens Contractures
I had an early diagnosis by Dr. Carey Tanner and was advised to check back when the finger was at no more than 45* constrained. I did exactly that in 2020 just as the Covid shutdowns occurred. Unfortunately I had to wait that out and by 2023 Dr. Kuehn had succeeded Dr. Tanner. The one finger had gone too far so I had surgery to install a "Digit Widget" for a month before surgery. Dr. Kuehne removed the tendrils in 3 fingers of my left hand and later that year, removed one large tendril from my right hand. Both were significant surgeries with some arduous therapy afterward to restore range of motion.
For a fellow like me who drives a desk but restores vintage cars and golfs, the hands are front and center to my hobbies. Thankfully, I'm better than pre-surgery by miles and my golf game is better than ever. I even had a hole in one earlier this year (photo). Plus, I was able to get one of my long term car projects on the road last year. Thanks SPOC and more specifically Dr. Kuehn. Thanks a million!
