Whether you’re sitting, standing, walking, or bending, your hips are a fundamental component of your daily life. Connecting the thighbone to the trunk, the hip consists of a cup-and-ball-like joint that allows for a great deal of motion in a variety of directions. People of varying ages and lifestyles are susceptible to dozens of different hip conditions and diseases, including osteoarthritis and bursitis.

The knee is a joint that unites the thigh with the rest of the leg and is a system of moving parts consisting of cartilage, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. The knee is also a hinge that provides our body with the strength to run, squat, jump, and turn. However, the knee is vulnerable to a number of injuries and conditions because of its inability to rotate in every direction.

Our specialty-trained hip and knee surgeons at Sierra Pacific Orthopedics' Hip & Knee Center have extensive training and experience in performing highly specialized hip and knee procedures. Common techniques our hip and knee surgeons perform include total hip replacement, hip revision, total hip arthroplasty, total knee replacement, knee revision, total knee arthroplasty, and partial knee arthroplasty. Please note that our hip and knee surgeons are proficient in using the latest surgical methods, including minimally invasive techniques.
