  • “Dr. Glaser did an outstanding job of repairing my severed anterior tibialis tendon. Thanks to his excellent surgical skill and the watchful care of Eric Little in physical therapy, I am experiencing a full recovery. I especially appreciated Eric's advice to take things slowly and to be patient in the healing process. His extra precautionary suggestions were crucial in my attitude and now I have full use of the foot. Thank you Sierra Pacific Orthopedics!”

  • “I had a bunionectomy in October of 2007 done by a podiatrist. Unfortunately, it was not a good experience. First of all, I felt part of the surgery. When I relayed this to the podiatrist, he told me that was not possible. When he tried to make another cut and I reacted, he believed me. Secondly, I developed an infection immediately following the surgery. He was on vacation for a week immediately following my surgery, so I had to see anther podiatrist for treatment. The results from the surgery were not satisfactory so I decided to seek additional medical advice after allowing 18 months for healing. At that point, I contacted Dr. Glaser as to what to do. In September of 2009, I decided to have surgery to repair the damage. Two screws were placed in my foot to correct the problem created by the first surgery. Fortunately, I had an uneventful recovery period - everything went, as it should. I am so thankful to Dr. Glaser, and his staff for their skill and knowledge of the foot. I have told all my friends and all who ask, if you have foot problems, do not seek assistance from anyone other that a true specialist, Dr. Glaser. One does not realize how important feet are until a problem arises. Thank you, Dr. Glaser!”

  • “I found Dr. Glaser and the staff to be personable, professional, and direct in their approach to my condition. I felt comfortable from the beginning and feel certain the proper diagnosis and resolution will be achieved.”

  • “I had never been to an orthopedic doctor before until I injured my ankle. But I can say it was a pleasant visit and I liked the doctor that assisted me. Dr. Glaser was very nice, patient, and explained everything to me about my ankle injury. I didn’t feel like I was being rushed. I hope to not come back, but if I ever do get injured again Sierra Pacific Orthopedics is the place I would come to.”

  • “It's been just about four months since Dr. Glaser performed surgery on my right ankle to repair a non-union fracture of the Talus. Before going to Dr. Glaser, I had severe pain and swelling every day. It had been seven months since my prior surgery for a fracture/dislocated ankle and there wasn't one day that I didn't have pain. It prevented me from doing any physical activities. After surgery with Dr. Glaser, each day I could tell my ankle was improving. Both him and Joanna Garcia were very professional and explained in detail my injury, the need to correct it, and the type of surgery I would be having. Even though I dreaded another surgery, I felt very confident with their knowledge and ability to perform a successful Triple Arthrodesis. I consider myself very blessed that my PCP Patricia Quintana-VanHorn recognized my need to be referred to another specialist and that she chose Dr. Glaser. I also want to thank his staff and all who participated in my care. They have always been professional and friendly. Thank you Dr Glaser for improving my quality of life.”

  • “Dr. Glaser is the best physician to have treated me. I appreciate that Dr. Glaser gets right to the point and is friendly. I think he truly cares about his patients. I appreciated that everything I should expect was explained to me in advance. The slight discomfort that I still have and the fact that I am not up to distances or times that I would like to see out on the walking or running trails will come.  I know I will get there. I am currently training to participate in the upcoming Two-Cities half-marathon in November. I know because of Dr. Glaser's surgery and follow-up care and instructions I will do it. I am 69 years old so I'm glad that he repaired things so I can do this. My goal is to shorten my bucket-list wherever I can. Completing a marathon is on the list. Sierra Pacific Orthopedics’ physical therapists sent me home with two important exercises to do. I keep up on those. So far, so good! Thanks to all for giving me my freedom back.”

  • “My right foot was at a stage where if I walked just a short distance it would hurt from the foot up into my ankle. I had two bones in the foot fused because of loss of cartilage and after the healing period I can now walk 18 holes of golf with out any pain!”

    – Harold L.

  • “On May 2, 2012, Dr. Glaser saw me for the first time and told me I had hemiparesis, which is paralysis of one side of the body, and he said it was affecting my lower left side of my body. On May 17, 2012, Dr. Glaser performed an achilles tendon lengthening on my left foot that is the best thing that could have ever happened. Now I can move my foot and wiggle my toes more then I have ever been able too. Also I can walk without tip toeing and bend my ankle with the help of an AFO during the day and a night brace at night so my foot does not go back into contracture. It will be six months since my surgery on November 17, 2012 and I'm very happy!!!!!”

  • “This was my first major surgery and as far as surgery goes the staff was awesome. Dr. Glaser is as good as it gets. Thank you all for getting me on the road to recovery.”

    – Tom H.

  • “I met with Dr. Glaser after having lots of pain in my ankle and it having caved inwards to the point I was almost walking on it.  This was very painful. Dr. Glaser operated on my right ankle and I have not had any pain in it since. I have experienced discomfort mainly because of the cast and then the boot but my ankle is stable and well. I have Addison’s disease and this is the first time I was able to have surgery and go home on the same day. Because of the trauma of surgery I am kept overnight but in this instance because of the staff and my doctor I felt no trauma and had no residual side effects from the surgery.  I do like the staff at the office and enjoyed talking with Gene in the cast room.  Thank you very much for your spirit and dedication.”

  • “Being a Fresno State athlete and now alum I have seen all of these AMAZING physicians.  So professional, caring, and timely. I appreciate all their work!”

  • “I fractured a big toe in an old accident and it never healed right. A fragment of bone made it difficult for me to do my job, which involves a lot of hiking uphill and requires complete motor control of both feet. I went to Dr. Glaser and after some X-rays and MRIs the problem was determined. Surgery was an option and I jumped at the opportunity; nothing else would make it possible for me to work the way I used to. The operation was quick and painless, and I'm still in recovery but already feeling much better about my future. Dr. Glaser and Dr. Garcia have been very welcoming, professional, and kind to me, as were the staff at Fresno Surgical Hospital. Overall I've had a great experience at Sierra Pacific Orthopedics and would definitely come back again in the future.”

  • “Everyone was very pleasant—patients and employees. The place is enormous, but it is so well managed and was a very nice experience. My surgery is in May, and my visit to the center has me looking forward to surgery.”

  • “My most recent problem taken to SPOC was a 25-year-old shoulder injury that caused continued dislocations. It was suggested that I have a reverse total shoulder replacement, but my doctor was in the Los Angeles area, and I had no transportation to and from. I had recently had left wrist and hand surgery with Dr. Tanner and asked for his help in getting the appropriate doctor for my shoulder problem. He made arrangements for me to see Dr. Thomas, and within one month, I had seen him for a consultation and then had my shoulder replacement. It is so wonderful to have a stable shoulder and be able to drive, eat, and do many other daily living skills with my right hand that I have not been able to do in 25 years. "I will go to the doctors at SPOC for any future orthopedic problems and will recommend friends to SPOC also.”

  • “From diagnosis through surgery, I found my experience with Sierra Pacific Orthopedics to be excellent. The speed and professionalism that I was shown was way beyond my expectations. The level of care they provided allowed me to go into surgery without any nervousness. I had, and continue to have, complete confidence in the doctors and staff at Sierra Pacific Orthopedics.”

  • “I have had the pleasure of meeting three of the doctors. In 2000, Dr. Glaser for my ankle; in 2012, Dr. Johnson for my shoulder; and now, Dr. Taylor for my leg. I have liked all of them very much. I thank them for their great care and kindness to me.”

  • “On my first visit, the tech took X-rays of my feet. I then saw the RN, Joann, where she explained the diagnosis on my feet. Hammer toes...sounds not too invasive,. However, I was down from walking 5-8miles a day to only chores that had to be done. It turned out I had an old fracture and two dislocated toes. She asked if I wanted the surgery and if I wanted both feet done in one surgery. I agreed on both feet. "The next appointment, I saw Dr. Glaser. He went over all aspects of the before, during, and after surgical procedures. My surgery appointment was made. I had four toes on one foot with pins and two toes on the other foot. The doctor had put in screws, pins, and cut off some bone. Everything was oka; no complications. Sutures come out in two weeks, then pins out two weeks after that, and in four weeks, I will be out of my surgical shoes and into regular shoes. I was highly impressed. My husband and I drive over 100 miles round trip for each visit, and if we need orthopedic surgery or care, we will do it again.”

  • “In 2009 my wife had a total knee replacement performed by Dr. Eric Hanson at Sierra Pacific Orthopedics on the recommendation of a friend.  She recovered very quickly and her knee is as good as new. In August of that year, based on her great experience, I contacted Dr. Francis Glaser, also of Sierra Pacific Orthopedics, as I was encountering drop foot and shin splints while fast paced walking on a treadmill. During my first visit he diagnosed me as having chronic exertion compartment syndrome (CECS) in my left calf.  After Dr. Rod Kraft measured the pressure within the muscle sheath, it was determined that I would require an anterior tibial compartment release performed by Dr. Glaser.  Today I am walking two miles for thirty minutes every other day, without any discomfort.  I might add that I turned seventy-two in January.  More recently, after thirty years of a career of vigorously winding motion picture film, my shoulders began giving me great discomfort and I was having difficulty lifting free weights as part of my workout routine.  So again, in 2012, I returned to Sierra Pacific Orthopedics and Dr. Eric Hansen. Both Dr. Hansen and his very capable P.A. Greg Mellor informed me that I had acquired a “combination pizza,” (impingement syndrome, a rather common condition associated with aging) in both shoulders.  On October 24, 2012, Dr. Hansen performed a left shoulder arthroscopy, subacromial decompression, distal clavicle resection, biceps tenodesis, with great success.  After five months of physical therapy and hours of prescribed exercises, on April 4, 2013, I had the same procedure done on my right shoulder.  It has now been three months since my last surgery and much of the pain in my shoulders is gone as well as all of the pain in my neck. That was one of the extra benefits of repairing the shoulders. All of the support staff in both hospitals and in the office were very professional and committed.  For most people, elective surgery can be very disconcerting, but my experience was very successful and assuring. Thank You Drs. Glaser Hansen for making my wife and me “good as new”!”

  • “On January 31, 2013, Dr. Glaser performed a second surgery on my left foot which was a left 1st metatarsal dorsiflexsion osoteotomy peroneus longus tendon lengthening. On August 31, 2013 will be (seven months) and once again it is the best choice I've made, along with the Achilles Tendon lengthening done on May 17, 2012. With my AFO I'm able to walk so much better than I ever have!!! THANK YOU!!!”

  • “I spent years rolling my ankle and hitting the ground hard. Finally, last June 2012, was it for me and I visited Dr. Kraft. I asked him what he would do if it were his ankle. It was decided to check further into it and we found that 2 of the 3 ligaments were torn. He set something up with Dr. Glaser. I had surgery in September 2012 and it's the best thing that I've ever done for myself (well, besides having my 2 daughters). Now I walk and run every day and I've lost 40 lbs. since surgery. I am extremely thankful to both Dr. Kraft and Dr. Glaser. Thanks!”

  • “I approached my first visit with Dr. Glaser with fear and anxiety about the prognosis for my arthritic ankle. Thirty minutes later, I left with a more clear understanding about my condition and the knowledge that with some lifestyle changes, I could control some of my symptoms. I was so glad to find a doctor who encouraged me to try a little "self-help" before more drastic measures were considered. So far, so good.”

    – Nancy K.

  • “Dr. Glaser was my primary on the foot surgery and Dr. Garcia assisted.  My experience with both doctors and all of the staff was excellent. they were all courteous and very helpful making certain I clearly understood each phase of the process.  I would certainly recommend them for anyone needing such surgery. Additionally, the Summit Surgery group was equally as professional and very courteous.”

  • “Dr. Francis E. Glaser is the treating doctor I came to know and trust. After sustaining a workplace injury and enduring the subsequent MRI, CT, and x-ray diagnoses, it was Dr. Glaser who answered all questions and was direct yet kind in his approach. So when it came time to obtain a final assessment with my case, I was allowed to return to Sierra Pacific Orthopedics. I have never been comfortable with ANY form of invasive procedures. However, I am now confident of the next step to a reasonable recovery with pain-free walking in the future. Thank you doctor and thank you to a most friendly and efficient staff!”
