“How do you describe getting your life back. From an MRI with another doctor I was told I suffered from sciatica and healing would take a long time. I gave it time then saw Dr. Simons for a second opinion only to find out I had no hips, I was bone on bone. He got me in for my first complete hip replacement in 3 weeks due to the severity. My next surgery was scheduled for a week after I was to return to work. I explained to his assistant Alicia how I was only allowed so much time off work and a person who was retiring was covering for me, she talked to Dr. Simons and they came in to let me know my surgery date had been moved up. Dr. Simons changed his Christmas vacation plans to come in and perform my second surgery. I have never been so blessed and thank the Lord every day for Dr. Simons giving me back a quality life. Walking is an amazing gift and I am forever grateful.”

“I've taken so long to share my experiences with Dr. Gill because I have been busy doing my retirement part-time jobs and volunteer projects on my new knees that I haven't had time. I had the first of two total knee replacement surgeries from Dr. Gill. Before the surgery, my knees were becoming useless and painful due to extreme arthritis. I would be in a wheelchair or walker now if it wasn't for the fantastic job Dr. Gill and staff did on replacing my knees. The first one was so great that I scheduled the second one six months later. Each time I was only in the Fresno Surgical Hospital one night and home after lunch. I did the physical therapy in Auberry. I was worried about the surgery beforehand, it is a rather major surgery. It felt so much better just hours after the surgery that it was a miracle, I took very few pain pills. Thank you, Dr. Gill. ”

“I didn't actually see Dr. Thaxter. I was seen by his PA-C Long Her. My experience was really uneventful because everything went so well. I never had to wait an unreasonable amount of time at any point of my 4 visits for knee injections. Everyone was friendly, personable and truly seemed to enjoy their particular job. Long Her was very professional and gave me complete confidence in his knowledge and treatment. I couldn't have been more satisfied. ”

“I only saw Dr. Dunklin briefly. He determined I did not qualify for surgery at this time so he was going to look into getting the shots in my leg. I got a call that my insurance company approved the three injections in my leg. I came in for the three shots and was seen each time by Courtney. She was very informative and also very people friendly. It was a pleasure coming into the office and seeing "friendly" people. The nurse was also very nice. ”

“I came in to deal with significant knee pain and Kirk Johnson had previously suggested trying a cortisone shot if the pain continued. After just a couple of days after the shot the pain has subsided to where I have very little pain now. What a difference! Thanks! ”

“From the initial consultation, to the follow up appointment thirty days after my hip replacement surgery, Dr. Simons and his entire staff treated me with the highest level of professional interaction and total concern for my well being. Dr. Simons answered all of my questions in a manner that me, as a layman, could understand and alleviate concerns, and trepidations that I had prior to the surgery. Surgery was not only a success, but recovery under Dr. Simons direction, was rather quick, and painless. Now I wish that I had not waited so long to meet the professional individuals who staff Sierra Pacific Orthopedic. I still have a six month follow up appointment, and probably another at the one year anniversary of my surgery. Look forward to seeing Dr.Simons and the staff .”
